Pensive Lady by the Window Paint by Numbers
Pensive Lady by the Window Paint by Numbers
Couldn't load pickup availability
A seated figure is framed by soft curtains and an outside city view in Pensive Lady by the Window Paint by Numbers. The woman remains the clear focal point, while sheer fabric, window edges and distant buildings introduce lighter layers around her without crowding the portrait.
Facial features, hair, hands and curtain folds require the most careful brushwork, followed by the smaller buildings visible through the glass. Broader wall and fabric sections provide larger areas between them. Explore more figure-focused designs in our Portrait & Figure Paint by Numbers collection.

A Quiet Figure Framed by Sheer Curtains
The woman sits near the window as the main focal point, surrounded by softer curtain folds and a view of buildings beyond the glass. The figure contains the strongest concentrated detail, while the window creates depth behind her through lighter fabric and smaller architectural forms. This arrangement keeps the portrait intimate without removing the sense of an outside world beyond the room.
Painting Experience
Fine brushwork is most useful around the face, hair, hands, clothing edges and narrow curtain folds. The distant buildings also contain smaller shapes, but their scale is simpler than the foreground figure. Medium brushes can cover wider fabric, wall and window areas. Completing the figure first creates a clear centre, then working outward through curtains and background helps preserve the depth between foreground and exterior view.
Why You’ll Love It
The composition combines portrait detail with soft architectural framing, giving the figure visual space rather than surrounding her with a busy background. Explore more standard designs in our All Paint by Numbers collection.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this beginner friendly?
Yes. Our kits are designed for all skill levels. The clear, numbered guide provides a structured path, allowing anyone to achieve a professional-looking result while enjoying a relaxing, meditative process.
How long does it take to finish?
Most kits take 10–36 hours to complete. There’s no rush, we recommend painting at your own pace and embracing the process as a dedicated 'me-time' to unwind and create.
Will my canvas be portrait or landscape?
The orientation of the canvas—whether portrait or landscape—will always correspond to the orientation of the product’s main image, ensuring that the final painting accurately reflects the proportions and layout of the original design.
What is a DIY frame and how does it work?
A DIY wooden frame is an option included in your paint by numbers for adults kit. It comes unassembled (bars and pins), allowing you to easily stretch the canvas over it after painting. Instructions are included.
How long will it take to receive my painting kit?
We ship worldwide, most paint by numbers orders arrive within 7–13 days. Our customers report 90% of parcels arrive within 10 days.
You can also contact us to upgrade to FedEx/DHL Express Shipping for an additional fee, with delivery in 3–6 days.
Do you provide extra paints if I run out?
Each kit includes more than enough paint, but if you run short or your paints dry out within 60 days, just let us know viasupport@paintarthub.com. We will happily send you a free replacement paint for your paint by numbers kit.
What if I paint in the wrong section?
No problem at all. Our thick acrylics offer superior coverage—simply let the area dry and paint over it with the correct color.
