A gondola moves through the narrow waterways of Gondola Ride in Venice Paint by Numbers, surrounded by closely packed architecture and broken reflections on the canal. Light blue gondola covers add cooler colour near the water while the buildings rise in tighter vertical shapes on either side.
Windows, façades, gondola edges and reflected details form the most intricate sections, balanced by broader stretches of canal. Keeping the boat shapes distinct from the water helps preserve the layered depth of the scene. Browse more European cityscapes in our City & Landmark Paint by Numbers collection.

Gondolas Moving Through a Venetian Canal
Narrow waterways guide the eye between closely arranged buildings, while gondolas introduce long dark shapes across the canal. Light blue coverings add cooler accents near the water, and broken reflections repeat parts of the surrounding architecture below. The scene is built around depth: boats in the foreground, water through the centre and façades rising behind them, all connected by repeated colour along the canal.
Painting Experience
The detailed building windows, rooflines, gondola edges and reflected shapes require a fine brush and steady boundaries. Medium brushes are useful for broader canal sections and larger wall surfaces. Completing the gondolas first establishes the foreground, after which the buildings can be tackled one façade at a time. Reflections are easier to manage last, using the finished architecture above as a visual guide while still treating the water as broken rather than perfectly mirrored shapes.
Why You’ll Love It
The narrow canal perspective packs architecture, boats and reflections into one detailed composition without losing the distinctive Venice setting. Browse more destination landscapes in our Landscape Paint by Numbers collection.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this beginner friendly?
Yes. Our kits are designed for all skill levels. The clear, numbered guide provides a structured path, allowing anyone to achieve a professional-looking result while enjoying a relaxing, meditative process.
How long does it take to finish?
Most kits take 10–36 hours to complete. There’s no rush, we recommend painting at your own pace and embracing the process as a dedicated 'me-time' to unwind and create.
Will my canvas be portrait or landscape?
The orientation of the canvas—whether portrait or landscape—will always correspond to the orientation of the product’s main image, ensuring that the final painting accurately reflects the proportions and layout of the original design.
What is a DIY frame and how does it work?
A DIY wooden frame is an option included in your paint by numbers for adults kit. It comes unassembled (bars and pins), allowing you to easily stretch the canvas over it after painting. Instructions are included.
How long will it take to receive my painting kit?
We ship worldwide, most paint by numbers orders arrive within 7–13 days. Our customers report 90% of parcels arrive within 10 days.
You can also contact us to upgrade to FedEx/DHL Express Shipping for an additional fee, with delivery in 3–6 days.
Do you provide extra paints if I run out?
Each kit includes more than enough paint, but if you run short or your paints dry out within 60 days, just let us know viasupport@paintarthub.com. We will happily send you a free replacement paint for your paint by numbers kit.
What if I paint in the wrong section?
No problem at all. Our thick acrylics offer superior coverage—simply let the area dry and paint over it with the correct color.
